Event Details
Working in partnership with the RSPB, the Town Council will be holding its annual Canvey Island Wildlife Day on Saturday 30th May at RSPB West Canvey Marsh, Canvey Road. The free entry event is open from 11am to 4pm and will have activities and attractions for all ages. Traditional arts and crafts will be on display with many chances to have a go. Pond dipping, mini beast hunting and nature trails will be available to showcase the local wildlife. Canveys Big Local Committee will be bringing a mobile climbing wall, which will give visitors the chance try a new outdoor pursuit and get unrivalled views across the marshes. Mike Dilger will once again be hosting guided walks around the marshes, and for the first time there will be guided walks around the Canvey Wick SSSI site, by BugLife, the organisation that works in partnership with The Land Trust and the RSPB to maintain this site. While there is limited parking available at the site, a park and ride service will be operational from Waterside Farm Sports Centre, kindly facilitated by Castle Point Transport Museum.www.canveyisland-tc.gov.uk/eventsCar Parking Information
