Castleford is a famous historical market town situatued on an ancient roman army settlement. It has a population of 40,000 and is the largest of the five towns around the Wakefield district and is home to the Super League rugby club the Castleford Tigers. Castleford is a thriving community with an Outdoor Market which covers the top half of the precinct and is directly outside of the main Market Hall.
