We are a group of volunteers who have formed a committee to hold an annual event in our village location. We hold our event on the first weekend in September each year and our event is called Croxton Kerrial Family Fun Day.
The event was initially created as a fundraising event, to raise much needed funds for the local youth club. This is our third annual event and with its growing success each year, this year the committee was created.
Our event, this year, is bigger and better than ever before and is now the biggest FREE entry show in the area. It is greatly anticipated in the area, the interest from people attending this year has been overwhelming.
The event is held at Croxton Kerrial Sport and Social Club, Middle street, Croxton Kerrial, Lincolnshire NG32 1QP. This year’s event details are: Saturday 5th September 2015, 11.00am – 4.00pm. The club has a fully licensed bar, toilet facilities, first aid room and is on a very large flat cricket field.

The committee consists of Tracey Taylor, Carl Taylor, Mel Arnold, Clare Barkworth and Helen Watts. Tracey is in charge and over sees the event. Each member of the committee has close connections to the youth club and have children that attend and all either live in the village or have strong connections to it.
Many local businesses, organisations and people support this event and all help to make it the great success that it has become.
This year we will be having a stage and live music throughout the day – a first for us! There will be plenty of entertainment to suit all ages. We have a wide variety of stalls, bouncy castle, trampolines, go-karts, bungee run, zorb balls, archery, a variety of caterers(hot and cold food, hot and cold drinks (fully licensed bar), donuts, cakes and sweets), face painter, speed goal, pony rides, children’s entertainer, arena displays (friendly dog show, rifle enactment group (& living camp), dog fly ball display team, falconry team, children’s sports day races and friendly dog races -organised by Dog Trust). A local classic car group have been invited and we are just waiting for confirmation that they will attend. There really will be something for everyone.
Our event will continue to run each year on the first weekend (Saturday) of September.
