Event Details

The 100th Grassington Dickensian Festival to fall this year, promises an exciting visit to our beautiful village in the Yorkshire Dales.

The Dickensian Festival is to take place on the first two weekends of December 2016, Saturday the 3rd, Sunday the 4th, Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th, complimented by a midweek programme of activities.

Having run for over 30 years this festival has something unique and special worth visiting at this magical time of year, both as a returning guest or new attendee as it offers a little twist of the Oliver kind! The Village goes back in time and is transformed into a Dickensian Era with full Victorian dress, performances, games, shoe shine boys, carol singers, cobbled streets, quaint shops, and cosy pubs with real fires.

Both weekends will boast a full entertainment programme running throughout the day, an abundance of stalls with a range of gifts, treats and food goodies, live music, Santa's Grotto, a torchlight parade & Christmas Carols in the square with a Brass Band.

Car Parking Information

Stall holders receive a permit to park in the National Car Park in the centre of the village. Customers can catch park and ride from Threshfield Quarry 5 minutes away from the festival.
