Introducing our project. Spencers Retreat is a beautiful 3 acre haven created for children with disabilities and mental health issues and their families to enjoy. We are based in Berkswell near Solihull, Kenilworth and Coventry. The aim of the project is to provide a safe & fun environment, friendly and understanding. So children with special needs can come and play and families can relax. Nothing better than animals to help everyone to relax you can come along feed Anna & Ray the KuneKune pigs , Say hello to our naughty goats, run and play with the sheep & feed the ducks and collect eggs in the chicken. We will have trampolines, playhouses, seesaws and swings. Next year we will also have an allotment area with large greenhouse.
But still a lot to do so we need help fundraising, building and donations of money or items. We need people to sponsor the animals. It's a great project and next summer it will be a great place for kids with special needs and disabilities to come. But I need the community to help turn this dream / idea into reality. We are planning an open day. We want local community businesses / charities to get involved put on a stall, bake cakes, make drinks, promote your business while helping ours. Fundraisers and organisers needed. If you can help, please let us know.
