The festival is held every August for the sport of Airsoft, which is a shooting sport played in a similar way to paintball, but more realistic. The event, which is the largest of it's kind in Europe, runs on the Somerley Estate in Ringwood on the August bank holiday weekend. We have run for the past 18 years with growing attendance figures of 3000 and over. The website for the event is www.airsoftfestival.com



Because we are always looking to expand the stalls and things offered in addition to the game itself that runs, we are finding more families, wives, girlfriends and female players come, some just to camp and enjoy the festival spirit of the event.

The event runs from Friday morning through to Monday morning, and we have in excess of 3000 people camping on site, so the audience is very much captive, and exclusive in terms of the types of the stalls & food offered. The stalls area in the front field is busy all day, early evening and at certain times of the late evening dependant on what is going on (we hold a prize raffle on the Saturday evening where almost everyone comes to the food area, and have live bands and music until around midnight each night).



For catering, we do not charge any pitch fee, all we would ask is that we make the same arrangement we have with the other caterers which is that we issue food & drink tokens to the marshals and staff that help us run the event, and with these they could get a meal from you at no charge (we have around 90 staff/marshals that run the event, and not everyone would use them) The tokens are divided equally between the number of caterers we have, and the sittings for which they are open, so it is all very fair and regulated. We have found this works extremely well for caterers vs paying a fee or commission and it is easier for us.
