Heavy Horse Working Weekend on 19-20 August 2017
10.30am-4.30pm on both days (public entry)

Pitch cost to stallholders: £20 for single day / £30 for both days for a stall of up to 15ft long and 6ft deep.
Stallholders please contact the Secretary for more information and a booking form.

We are looking for stallholders ranging from arts and crafts, food stalls (e.g. pies, pasties, jams, cakes, etc.), plants, cards, woodworking, rural crafts, etc to suitable small local business.

We are also happy to consider any local not-for-profit organisations.

Think summer Village Fete meets Heavy Horse Agricultural Show....a brilliant family day out

The Western Counties Heavy Horse Society Ltd was formed in 1975 and is a not-for-profit organisation. The Working Weekend is our chance to engage with the public and our Members, and demonstrate exactly what our dedicated horsemen can do with these incredible beasts. There will be a main ring with demonstrations including ploughing, harrowing, cutting corn and many many more - all using traditional equipment, some dating back to the 1890's. There will also be many displays, 'have-a-go' opportunities, play areas for children, wagon rides and tours courtesy of the Nynehead Historic Society, refreshments, food, a beer tent and so much more. We are also hoping to organise a dog show and possibly a tug-of-war match. Although our Working Weekend happens every year, this is a new venue near Wellington and we are very much looking forward to this excellent event.

Please note, this is event is not suitable for car boot/bric a brac type stalls.TBC
