Event Details
Whalton Arts Fair takes place in the beautiful village of Whalton, near Morpeth in Northumberland. The Tin Shed stages two events there each year. This is our autumn event, so tends to attract earlier Christmas shoppers as well as those who love art and artisan hand-crafted items. We have around 18 local artists and makers showcasing and selling their creations. Everything is handcrafted by them from scratch, so completely unique. We have everything from original art to prints, glass, ceramics, jewellery and textiles.
At Whalton we're also joined by a local charity PAWS which provides pre and after-school wraparound care for at the village school. They set up a beautiful little cafe in the front room of the village hall where they serve delicious home-made bakes, cakes, and refreshments. Whalton Village Hall is situated on the main street through the village, opposite the pub (and along a little). It looks like a tiny cottage from the front, but inside it's like a tardis and has a large, bright beautiful hall which far-reaching views across the surrounding countryside. Nearby is beautiful Belsay Hall and Bolam lake for visitors, with lots to see and do. The pub in Whalton also does amazing Sunday lunches, but best to book ahead. If you're an artist or maker and would like to find out more about joining us at Whalton or any other events, please get in touch at info@thetinshed.co.uk
This event is free entry for visitors. There are toilets at the hall as well as refreshments and cakes.www.thetinshed.co.uk
