Was there ever a better venue for a street market than the bustling High Street of this historic city just off of the M3 in Hampshire?The local workforce, the residents, the destination shoppers from the surrounding towns and villages and the legion of tourists from home and abroad, make this the perfect place for all manner of street markets.
On the first Sunday of each month from January to December, the High Street and Middle Brooke Street host up to one hundred blue and white gazebos, housing all manner of antiques and collectibles.
You can buy that piece of shabby chic furniture with some retro china and gadgets to brighten up your kitchen. You might grab yourself a genuine antique work of art, some fifties haut couture or some jewellery that grandma used to wear.
What is certain though is that you’ll have a great day out strolling down memory lane.
