At Crockey Hill, near York, YO19 4SQ on 8th - 11th September 2016This unique event is two in one - the British National Ploughing Championships is held in a different part of the country each year and the World Ploughing Contest which is held in a different part of the world and was last held in the UK in 2000. It's not just ploughing though! It offers a rare glimpse of how farming has changed over the past 300 years - around 25 pairs of magnificent heavy horses; many styles of vintage tractors and equipment; more than 30 giant steam ploughing engines; all alongside the most up-to-date machinery of the present day.
